On May 19, 2011, Biebelhausener Mühle was decorated with the top level award, Bundesehrenpreis of the DLG for the ninth time in series.

(DLG).BiebelhausenerMühle from Ayl-Biebelhausen was now honoured by the Federal Agency for Agriculture, food and consumer protection (BMELV) with the Bundesehrenpreis. This is the highest award a company in bakery sector can achieve for its performance in terms of quality. The president of DLG (German Agricultural Society) Carl-Albrecht Bartmer, together with the Parliamentary State Secretary Dr.Gerd Müller handed over certificate and medal to the two administrators, Birgit and Michael Wacht. The award show took place in a festive frame of the master hall in the old city hall of Berlin.
The Bundesehrenpreis was given to twelve companies of the German bakery sector, having proved outstanding results during the last years’ quality checks of DLG. "Proving in this test to be one of the best companies underlines the very high quality standards of Biebelhausener Mühle", the DLG president pointed out in his appraisal. The exemplary company convinced with outstanding product performance in terms of quality, determined by comprehensive sensory and laboratory tests.
“Companies such as Biebelhausener Mühle, achieving a Bundesehrenpreis for the tenth time, impressively documents the outstanding position amongst the top organisations in Germany food industry, setting quality standards for the whole economic sector”, the DLG president lauded. As per Barmer, the traditional company based in Ayl-Biebelhausen not only concentrates on cost efficiency and optimization strategies, bearing the danger of making products replaceable and boring. „Much more than this, the individual dimensions in quality, taste and consumption are of first priority, thus making products of Biebelhausener Mühle unique. “
